Where: V23 Athletics, Denver CO

Workshop with Mike: Starts at 3:00 PM
I’d like to invite you to join me for a meaningful day centered on strength, community, and giving back to those who’ve sacrificed so much for us.
On February 22nd, I will attempt to set a World Record for the Heaviest Weight Lifted by Turkish Get Up. While I’m proud to take on this challenge, this event is about something much bigger than myself. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Mission 22, an organization dedicated entirely to supporting veterans’ mental health and suicide prevention.
Why It Matters:
When I was young, my grandfather, a veteran, died by suicide. His loss deeply affected my family and shaped my life in ways I’m still coming to understand. Veterans often face battles long after their service ends, and far too many feel the weight of those struggles in silence.
I want to honor my grandfather’s memory and do my part to ensure that veterans receive the support they need to heal. Mission 22 provides vital resources, including mental health care and community programs, to help veterans and their families.

Why the Turkish Get Up?
This lift is a metaphor for the struggles we all face. Moving from the ground to standing tall while balancing weight overhead reflects the resilience and determination needed to rise after life’s hardest moments. For veterans, this journey can be especially challenging. I hope this attempt can serve as a small reminder that no one has to carry that weight alone.
Support the Cause:
Proceeds will go to Mission 22 to fund their critical work in veteran mental health and suicide prevention. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be made HERE
I hope you’ll join me in standing with those who’ve served us, honoring their strength, and helping to make a difference in their lives.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you there.
